Before changing behavior, you learn how to observe it.

Owner Skill: Learn to observe before reacting.

Biome is the internal and external foundation that influences how your dog feels, responds, and behaves.

You'll learn to evaluate:

• Genetics and breed tendencies
• Age and developmental stage
• Sleep and recovery
• Nutrition and physical wellness
• Stress accumulation
• Environmental stimulation
• Sensory overload
• Previous learning and experiences
• Decompression
• Scent and biological enrichment
• Arousal and recovery

Small Dog Focus

You'll learn why the world can feel very different from the perspective of a 7-lb dog compared with a 70-lb dog.

Owner Skill: Identify biological and environmental factors that may be affecting behavior before assuming the dog simply "needs more training."

Boundaries = structure, expectations, management, and safety.

You'll learn:

• How to establish predictable household rules
• Management versus punishment
• Creating safe zones
• Place and stationing
• Crate and rest routines
• Door and visitor management
• Leash structure
• Harness and handling skills
• Preventing rehearsal of unwanted behavior

Owner Skill: Communicate with your dog clearly enough that your dog understands what you are asking and how to succeed.

Structured Neutrality as a practical application of the 3B System.

You'll learn the difference between:

Socialization ≠ constant interaction

Exposure ≠ flooding

Tolerance ≠ suppression

Neutrality = the ability to remain functional without needing to engage with everything.

You'll practice:

• Seeing triggers without reacting
• Passing dogs without greeting
• Settling around people
• Neutral observation
• Distance management
• Recovery after stimulation
• Choosing appropriate exposure

Owner Skill: Teach your dog that the world does not always require a response.

 You'll conduct a Small Dog Environmental Audit of your home and daily routine.

Together we evaluate:

• Entrances and exits
• Windows
• Stairs
• Furniture
• Crate/rest areas
• Feeding areas
• High-value locations
• Noise
• Traffic patterns
• Visitor routines
• Other animals
• Handling areas

You'll learn how to change the environment so your dog has fewer opportunities to rehearse unwanted behavior.

Owner Skill: Learn to manipulate the environment as part of behavior modification.

 Learn What Happens Before, During & After the Behavior

You'll learn to identify:

Trigger → Early Signal → Escalation → Reaction → Recovery

Instead of waiting for the explosion, you'll learn to recognize the earlier stages.

You'll practice:

• Identifying threshold
• Recognizing escalation
• Increasing distance
• Interrupting safely
• Helping your dog recover
• Determining when to continue and when to stop
• Tracking patterns over time

Owner Skill: Intervene earlier and make better decisions. 

 Put the Entire System Together

The final module brings Biome + Boundaries + Bridge together.

You'll learn how to create a 3B assessment for a real behavior problem.

For example:

Problem: Barking at dogs through the window.

Instead of simply teaching "quiet," you learn to ask:

BIOME: Is the dog already overstimulated, under-rested, or stressed?

BOUNDARY: Can we prevent constant rehearsal of window barking?

BRIDGE: How do we teach the dog what to do instead?

You'll create a personalized 3B Behavior Blueprint for your dog.
